Boys Spring 2026, 7 on 7 (not regular season) - Spring 2026

7 on 7 is a travel touch football league emphasizing passing. Male participants must be nine years old as of September 1, 2026, and MUST have been registered for our fall 2025 or current fall 2026 season. Current 8th graders are encouraged to play. We will not be playing in Mount Prospect and usually have to travel to a host site; in the past, games have been held in Schaumburg, Stevenson H.S. Glenbrook South, and Huntley. Games are on Sundays and will start on April 5, and the season can go to May 31st (No games on Easter but we will play on Mother's Day.) Usually, each team practices once a week. MP Football's approach to 7 on 7 is very lax; the goal is to have fun and develop new skills. We understand many of our athletes will be in their current in-season sport and will not be penalized for missing a practice or game. 

Registration will close on March 15th. 

Girls Spring Flag 2026 (not regular season) - Spring 2026

MP Football’s 7 on 7 is a all girls travel touch football league for current 3rd through 8th-grade girls and is not part of our regular fall season. Games are played on Sundays beginning April 5, with the season running through May 31 (tentatively). There are currently no games scheduled on Easter, though we may play on Mother’s Day. This is a travel league, and we will most likely not be playing in Mount Prospect. In past seasons, games have been hosted at Glenbrook South High School, Glenbrook North High School, and in Winnetka. Each team typically practices once per week. MP Football’s approach to 7 on 7 is relaxed and development-focused, with the primary goal of having fun while building skills. We understand that many athletes may be participating in another in-season sport, and players will not be penalized for missing practices or games.

Registration will close on March 15th. 

2026 Mount Prospect Youth Football Regular Season - Fall 2026

Tackle Football Program (TCYFL Travel League) Our tackle football program competes in the TCYFL Travel League, with teams divided by age and weight. While we strive to provide athletes with as much playing time as possible, positions and playing time are determined by skill level and commitment. Conditioning camp begins July 21. Teams practice a minimum of three times per week. Practice schedules and locations are determined by each head coach and will take place at an MP park or school. Our preference is to play games on Saturdays. Home games, typically four to five per season, will be played on Saturdays. Away games, also typically four to five per season, are determined by the host team and may be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays. All home games will be played at Melas Park or Prospect High School. 

Flag Football Program  (In-House) 2026 flag football levels are based on age as of September 1 and include ages 5–6, 7–8, 9–10, We have travel flag for boys age 11 years old  through 8th grade (see below) Our flag football program is an in-house league featuring approximately eight regular-season games, with up to three playoff games. Players typically practice two nights per week and play one game per week from late August through October. Conditioning camp begins July 21 and practice begins shortly after. Practice days, times and locations are determined by each head coach and will take place at an MP park or school. All games will be played on Sundays at Melas Park, with the possibility of a night game at Prospect High School.

Travel Flag Football Programs begin July 21st, Girls Travel Flag Football teams compete in the Northern Illinois Youth Football League against teams from Northbrook, Skokie, Wilmette, Glenview, Wheeling, Arlington Heights and surrounding communities. Teams are formed for girls ages 7 years old through 8th grade. Girls ages 5 and 6 play co-ed in our in-house flag program. Any girl up to age 11 is welcome to participate in the house league. Boys Travel Flag Football teams compete in the Northern Illinois Youth Football League for athletes ages 11 years old through 8th grade.
